McLean USA Program . . . Helping Our Independent Residents Stay Independent Longer
Life. Liberty. The Pursuit of Independence.
Life.
Whether it's a book club, a personalized work-out in our gym, a swim in our Olympic-size pool or a walk at our scenic Game Refuge, at McLean, life is all about ensuring our residents have access to all of the things that they enjoy . . . surrounded by an array of new friends who share their interests and passions.
Liberty.
Freedom and choices are hallmarks of our approach to living well. At McLean, residents live life the way they want to . . . on their own terms. However, illness, disability or the natural challenges that come with age happen can threaten independence. That’s where our new USA Program comes in.
The Pursuit of Independence.
Introducing the McLean USA Program, a new program designed to help our residents live independently longer, ensuring they can continue to enjoy all that the McLean lifestyle offers. Whether it’s housekeeping services, medication reminders, or assistance with daily activities, our USA Program offers personalized services designed to meet specific needs and budgets.
Exclusively for Village Residents
Our USA Program is designed specifically for those in The Village who would benefit from a few hours of assistance a week, but who are not yet ready for assisted living. Certified Nursing Assistant services are provided through an exclusive partnership with Brightstar.
Many residents begin their relationship with Brightstar through its Sparkle housekeeping program, which is executed by Brightstar CNAs. Because the housekeeping services are provided by trained certified nursing assistants, they are often able to identify when a resident may be in need of enhanced services to maintain his or her independent lifestyle. The residents and their families are find comfort in knowing they can receive additional services from someone they already know. This approach also provides residents with privacy . . . neighbors think that they are receiving housekeeping services, not help.
How It Works
Starting the USA Program is just a phone call away. Our Concierge works with the residents to determine what services they are looking for and what USA “package” would best meet their needs. The packages are all priced on a monthly basis so there are no complicated, confusing hour-by-hour bills.
A member of the Brightstar management team meets with the resident to complete a brief medical history and discuss services and the type of person that would be a good fit for them. Brightstar will do everything possible to provide a caregiver that will make sure the resident feels comfortable.

Read What People are Saying about the USA Program
"When my Mom was rushed to the hospital recently, I didn’t know who I was more concerned about: her or my 100-year-old step-father, Chris. I knew she’d receive good care at the hospital and at McLean Rehabilitation where she’d go to regain her strength before returning to their Burkholder apartment, but I didn’t like the idea of Chris staying alone in the interim. And yet, leaving my responsibilities in Michigan, where I live, to go stay with him would be really be hard. That’s when I truly came to appreciate the services Brightstar can provide through the USA Program. The McLean Care Coordinator, Village staff and the Brightstar team immediately stepped in, working with me to provide staffing to drive Chris to the hospital to visit Mom, daytime companionship and even overnight assistance. Living a thousand miles away from my folks can be worrisome, but the McLean and Brightstar teams provided my step-dad great care and me priceless peace of mind."
